

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Anna (Sanita) DeCesare.
Mickey attended RISD night classes for jewelry design and molding and became a hub & die cutter for Imperial Knife after which he became a member of the Laborers International Union, Local 271 as a labor foreman for over 50 years. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the 86th combat engineers during the Vietnam Era.
He was involved in the restaurant and hotel business one of which was the former Classic Restaurant owned by his best friend Jimmy Burchfield and the other was the Marriot Hotel in Providence as a beverage steward.
He loved boxing and MMA and was part of the CES Team, again owned by Jimmy Burchfield who inducted him in the CES Ring of Honor.
He was the father of Sheena DeCesare Vincent and Michael DeCesare and grandfather of Emily and Ashton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors in the R.I. Veteran Cemetery will be private.
