She was the beloved wife of Kenneth J. Adamo, Sr., with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (D’Amore) Archetto.
She was the devoted mother of Sallee Anne Adamo and Kenneth J. Adamo, Jr.; loving sister of the late Irene G. Wolanski and John D. Archetto; and cherished aunt to Pam Baker, Wendy Wolanski, John Wolanski, Jennifer House and Jonathan Romoli, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A proud Italian at heart, Nancy was the soul of her family—known for her tenacity, unique style, and radiant smile. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, she created a home filled with love, warmth, and unwavering support. She was a steady presence who brought people together with wisdom and care.
Nancy worked in the operating room at Roger Williams Hospital, later becoming an IBM technician supervisor at McKesson-Robin, and eventually followed her passion as a practicing esthetician when her kids were grown.
A woman of deep faith, she prayed faithfully for her family and was grateful for the many blessings in her life. We find comfort in knowing she is now with our Lord and Savior.
She was also a true fighter. With extraordinary strength and resilience, Nancy overcame cancer six times, along with other ailments. She faced each challenge with courage, grace, and unwavering determination, leaving behind an example of perseverance that will never be forgotten.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. She found peace at the beach and joy in the simple moments spent with those she loved, especially her loyal dog, Trump.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Burial will be private.
May she rest in eternal peace.
