

Born in Cranston, Nancy was the daughter of the late Leonard and Frances (Alter) Fain and the sister of the late Janie G. (Fain) Dressler.
Nancy’s became the first female licensed barber in Watertown, Massachusetts and worked at various local barbershops in Boston before opening her own, “Haircutting Ltd.” After several years of ownership, Nancy’s insatiable thirst for knowledge and desire for experience led her back to the thrilling adventure of travel.
Despite facing numerous adversities, Nancy’s passion for learning and exploring new places knew no bounds. She found immense joy in visiting museums, antiquing, and simply traveling wherever her heart desired. Over the years, Nancy and Rhonda had shared their lives in various cities, including Tampa and Sunrise, Florida; Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona; and finally, settling in Warwick, Rhode Island, several years ago.
Nancy’s absence will leave an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Her burial was held privately in accordance with her wishes.
