Smithfield: Murphy, Nancy L. RN, 61, of Intervale Road passed away on Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of Dennis M. Murphy for 41 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille (Hussey) Cunningham. Nancy was a 1966 graduate of St. Xavier Academy in Providence and a 1990 graduate of Community College of Rhode Island School of Nursing. She was employed as a Telemetry and Endoscopy nurse at Fatima Hospital for 32 years. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Dennis M. Murphy, Jr. of North Providence and Scott D. Murphy of Providence and a grandson Dennis J. Murphy. Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Camp St., Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours, Monday, 4-8 pm.
