Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Isom) Turner; husband of Antonetta J. (Cardella) Turner for 57 years; father of Pamela M. Winter, Sharon M. Scuncio, Cynthia A. Paquin and Joseph N. Turner; brother of Joseph Turner; grandfather of 7; great-grandfather of 2.
Mr. Turner worked as a self-employed stone mason and had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Visitation will be held Monday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by burial with Military Honors in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
