

LORD, Norma E., 83, of Sumner Avenue, died Saturday at The Scandinavian Home. She was the wife of Howard S. Lord, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Lord had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on February 18th. Born in Laconia, NH, a daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian (Mitton) Flodin, she had lived in Warwick for the past 76 years. Mrs. Lord had worked as a winder at the former Uniroyal Company in Providence for 24 years before she retired in 1971. She was a very active member of the Norwood Baptist Church, and along with her husband, was a longtime member of the Warwick Civic Chorale. She is survived by her children, Laurine M. Lord of Cranston and Howard S. Lord Jr. and his wife Jane, of Warwick; four grandchildren Michele M. Proulx, Michael J. Glover, Christopher S. Lord and Alexander R. Lord, and her great granddaughter Jessica L. Proulx. She was the sister of the late Herbert Flodin, Jr., Marie Forlingieri, and Joan Flodin. Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Service at 10am in the Norwood Baptist Church, 48 Budlong Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Tuesday 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Scandinavian Home, 1811 Broad Street, Cranston, RI 02905 in her memory will be appreciated.
