Normand F. Olean

Normand F. Olean, 83, passed away July 31st. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn N. (DeCarlo) Olean; son of the late James N. and Antonetta (Toracinta) Olean; father of Normand F. Olean, Steven Olean and his wife Susan, and Sandra Olean; grandfather of Lauren, Matthew, Chloe and Christopher Olean; and brother of James R. Olean, Maria A. Penta, Gerald T. Olean and Ann Louise Levanti.

Mr. Olean was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College, Class of 1952. He was the co-owner, with his brother James, of Olean Fuel Company and City Line Realty. He was also on the board of directors for the Oil Dealers Assoc. of RI. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus - Bouffard Council, former president of the Marieville Businessmen’s Assoc., and a former member of the Lincoln Country Club.

Visitation will be held Tuesday 5-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
