Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Maria Concepcion and the late Rafael Alonso Pichardo. She was a loving mother to Luegginn Irizarry, Phyrrumm Irizarry, Joylynn Irizarry, and Chanlee Hong, and a cherished grandmother to Kailany Troncoso and Nalany Irizarry.
Nuris is also survived by her siblings Katherine Pichardo, Rose Pena, Rafael Pichardo, Alonzo Pichardo, Wilson Pichardo, Noel Pichardo, Nevo Burgo, and Orlando Burgos. She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Concepcion and brother Michael Concepcion.
An artist in every sense of the word, Nuris expressed her creativity through singing, writing, and painting. Her gift for languages allowed her to serve as an interpreter in many settings, including the court system, where she helped bridge communication with compassion and clarity.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground, Providence.
