It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Olga Iris Sanchez-Garcia, who left us on August 16, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, Olga was the beloved daughter of the late Julio and Juanita (Garcia) Sanchez.
Olga was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She nurtured three children—Marga Jeannette Pimentel, Joany Pimentel, and Héctor Pimentel—and was a proud grandmother to Hector J. Pimentel, Lynette J. Pimentel, Edrick Pimentel, Amauris Pimentel, Derrick Pimentel, Precious Depeña, and Kimberly Pimentel. She was the heart and soul of her family, rooted deeply in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and her presence brought warmth and love to all who knew her.
Olga’s infectious laugh and radiant smile lit up every room she entered. Her kindness and compassion extended to family, friends, and anyone she met, leaving a lasting, beautiful impact on the community she served. In her prime, Olga was a lifelong student and worked in many fields, contributing in meaningful ways to those around her.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 700 Westminster Street on August 30th from 1:00-3:00 PM.
