

Paul F. Lyons, 70, of Lynch Street passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Sharon L. (Taft) Lyons for 32 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Bernard and Mary (Tiernan) Lyons. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Paul C. Lyons and Paul J. "P.J." Lyons, step father of Mark J. Hogan, father of the late Lori Lynn Lyons, Charlene Lyons; Brother of Eileen Morrissey and the late John Lyons. He is survived by two grandchildren, Melissa Courtemanche, and Mark Hogan, Jr; three great grandchildren, Grace, Spencer, and Chase. Paul was in the RI Army National Guard for 27 years as a Motor Sergeant of the 103rd Field Artillery. He was a softball coach for Johnston Girls Softball and Mount Pleasant Girls Softball in the 80's and 90's.Paul's favorite past time was fishing on his boat with family and friends. He was an easy soul and always there to help at a moments notice. He was also a beloved father and uncle figure to many. His funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to AccessPoint RI, P.O.
