

He was born on September 5, 1959, in Providence, RI, to the late John Prince Sr. and Lucille Prince.
Paul was known for his vibrant, boisterous spirit and his ability to bring life and laughter wherever he went. He had a natural talent for building and working with his hands and took great pride in repairing things and tackling projects. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and spending time listening to rock and roll music. A devoted fan of wrestling, Paul especially loved to dance and celebrate life.
A proud New Englander, he deeply loved his hometown and was a loyal, lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. Paul’s joyful personality and warm heart brought happiness to everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his brothers, John Prince and Charles Prince; his sisters, Deborah Prince and Paula DiFranco; and his brother-in-law, Paul DiFranco. He leaves behind his beloved children, Latoia Wilson, Paul Duarte, Diondra Duarte, and Tiffany Duarte; and his son-in-law, Brandon Wilson. Paul was a proud grandfather to Branisha Angelo, Brandon Wilson, Da’shia Brown, Destiny Brown, Daysha Brown, and Dayana Brown, and a loving great-grandfather to Jasai Angelo and Journey Angelo.
He is also survived by his nieces, Takiyah Prince and Shayna Prince; his nephews, Brantley Prince and Robert Prince; his great-nieces, Lakeya Prince, Janaya Baquero, Yamirah Baquero, Nayelis Baquero, and Briyanna Prince; his great-nephews, Deshaun Prince and Cordell Prince; and his great-great-niece, Milan Victory McClarin. Paul was predeceased by his parents and his beloved daughter, Michelle Lee Duarte.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his laughter, his love of life, and the joy he brought to his family and friends.
His Visitation will be held on Friday February 20, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Romano Funeral Home. 627 Union Avenue Providence RI, 02909. Burial will be private.
