Paul J. Savoie, 79, of Cumberland passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Born in Pawtucket, Paul was the son of the late Maurice and Germaine (Campbell) Savoie and brother of the late Claudette St. Denis.
Paul was a U.S Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a public servant, and a life-long political enthusiast. In his later years, he enjoyed chats with his grandchildren over donuts and coffee.
Paul leaves behind his son, Paul J. Savoie, Jr. and his family, Julie, Connor (12) and Madeline (10), as well as Sarah Moore, and her family, Matthew, Anna (9) and Scarlett (7), and their mother Joanne Murphy.
His visitation and funeral will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
