Richard L. Iavarone

Richard L. Iavarone, 80, passed away April 10, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Smith) Iavarone for 43 years; son of the late Louis and Eleanor (Tartaglia) Iavarone; father of Donna Manto and her husband Jason, Robert Iavarone, Nancy Robayo and her husband Luis, Kimberly Rao and her husband Salvatore, and Joseph Iavarone; grandfather of Leila, Paul, Daniel, Adrian, Gabriela and Alyssa; great-grandfather of NeAsia, Neshion, Akiela, Silas, Lukas and Aydin; brother of Elaine Shaw and her husband Peter, and the late Richard and twin brother Robert Iavarone.

Mr. Iavarone proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and in the National Guard for many years. He was a past Grand Knight and former District Deputy of South Attleboro Knights of Columbus Council 5876. Mr. Iavarone retired as a land surveyor for Tilton & Assoc. and had worked for C. Brito Construction Co. for many years.

Visitation and funeral, Monday at 9 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
