He was the son of the late Domenic and Eleanor (Manfredi) Potenza; husband of Marsha (Cambra) Potenza; father of Joshua Potenza and fiancée Simona Popovici, Jenifer Potenza, Jessica Lemieux and husband Marc; cherished papa of Avery and Jacob; brother of Edward Potenza and wife Dee, twin brother of Robert Potenza and wife Sue.
Richard was the owner and operator of Richard’s Service Station on Charles Street in Providence for over 40 years. He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider. He also loved the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Alabama Crimson Tide and NASCAR racing.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. with a memorial service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
