Robert Black, 77, of North Smithfield, passed away on April 16, 2018 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of Steven Straznickas.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward and Louise (Avanzo) Black.Robert was a Mechanic in the Waste Treatment Industry for many years. He was the House Steward of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.Besides his husband, Robert is survived by his brothers, Edward, Ronald and Richard Black and his grandchildren, Connor Starznickas and Link Potter. He was the brother of the late John, Frank, Linda, Cheryl and Kevin Black.Calling hours Monday from 5 – 8 pm the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence.
