Robert Francis McCaffrey, Jr., 74, passed away on April 28, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara I. (Dowd) McCaffrey of 48 years, and son of the late Robert F. Sr. and Theresa (Phillips) McCaffrey.Robert had worked for 48 years as a Pressman at the Providence Journal Bulletin. He was an avid softball player and loved everything New England sports.He is survived by his children, Robert Francis McCaffrey, III, Deborah Jeannne McCaffrey, Barbara Elaine Harrington, and was predeceased by his daughter, Theresa M. McCaffrey, his brothers, Richard and Brian McCaffrey, his grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Stephanie Wilbur, Brandon, Marissa, Aidan McCaffrey, and his great granddaughter, Kylie Rzemien.Robert is also survived by his partner of 7 years, Denise Ann Collins.Funeral, Thursday morning at 8:45, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 3rd Street, East Greenwich. Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Calling hours Wednesday, 5 – 7 PM.
