Robert Dennis Smyth

Born in Providence he was the son of the late John Joseph and Cathryn Ann ( Cahill ) Smyth

Robert was a lifelong Providence resident and communicant of St Augustine's parish.

Robert was a fence installer for his father’s business, King Fence Co. and later went to work for Wood and Wire Co. in Pawtucket.  In his later years, he was a delivery driver for Calvitto's Pizza.

Robert was a New York Yankee’s fan as well as the New England Patriots. An avid golfer, he was a member of Trigg’s Golf Course

He is survived by his siblings, John J. Smyth and his wife Cynthia, Stephen E. Smyth and his wife Tammy , Sharon A, Kaye and her husband Singh Tulshi, and Donna Coletta, his nephews, Brian M Smyth and his wife Rayne, Gregory J. Smyth and his niece Kristen J. Orsini and her husband Lawrence. Robert also leaves eight grandnieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence will be Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 8:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue,  Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Friends and family may call Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home.
