Roberta Arlene Roche

Roberta A. Roche (Cooney) 88, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center. She was the wife of the late John C. Roche. Born in New London, CT, she was a daughter of the late Francis Cooney and the late Grace (Lynch) Monti. She leaves her son, Patrick S. Roche, of Providence; two grandchildren, Melanie Ashworth, and her husband, Daniel and Michael Roche; two great grandchildren, Tawni Roche and Ryan Ashworth; and her guardian angel, Dr. Felicia Meila. Roberta was preceded in death by her three sons, Kevin B. Roche, Dennis M. Roche and Brian J. Roche. She was also the twin sister of the late Mary Iannuccilli, Elizabeth Bacci and Francis Cooney. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Roberta’s family on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 8:45 am-9:45am, in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in her memory would be appreciated.
