Roger J. Rousseau, 65, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Linda A. (Petrarca) Rousseau, his wife of 35 years. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Ernest J. Rousseau and Rita L. (Vincelette) Rousseau Davignon. He was the stepson of the late Maurice G. Davignon.
Roger is survived by his children, Stacy Rousseau Dujardin and her husband Jean-Paul of Riverside and Keith Rousseau and his wife Michelle of So. Burlington, VT; his two granddaughters Violet and Elodie Dujardin; and his brother Richard Rousseau and his wife Claudette of Rehoboth, MA.
Roger worked for the printing industry for most of his career. Roger and Linda met while working at Federated Litho in 1976 and married in 1978. He was a production manager at Meridian Printing for the past 18 years.
Roger was a very loving husband and dedicated father and grandfather. He was an assistant little league coach for several years with the hope that Keith would inherit his love of baseball. Keith preferred hockey and converted Roger to a hockey fan. Roger enjoyed spending time with the family and was proud to see Stacy and Keith graduate from college and get married. Roger and Linda had the opportunity to travel together after raising their family. He was excited to take on a new role as grandpa when Violet was born in 2011 and welcomed new granddaughter Elodie in 2013.
