Rosa Alice DiGiovanni, 89, passed away December 20, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John and Rita (Colonna) Altomare; beloved wife of the late Gabriel DiGiovanni and prior to that the late Ignazio Eugene Mongelli, who passed away in 1971; loving mother of Rita Mongelli-Garton, John Mongelli (Linda), Thomas Mongelli, Dolores Wolfe (Daniel), and the late Fred A. Mongelli; sister of Louis Altomare; and grandmother of Chloe, Michele, and Lisa Mongelli and Diana and Daniel Wolfe.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 8:30-9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. Masks are required. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
