He was born in Augusta, ME, the son of Elizabeth (Lapinski) Briggs and the late Byron Briggs and had been the husband of Kelly N. (Duhamel) Briggs.
Mr. Briggs was a Navy Veteran of the Iraq War.
He was the father of Alyson Power and Olivia Briggs; grandfather of Michael Sean Power. He also leaves 2 brothers and 3 sisters
