Sheila Ann Scetta

Sheila A. (McGurn) Scetta, 73, of , North Providence,  passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence.  She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Scetta, Sr.

Born in Providence, Sheila was the daughter of the late William H. Sr. and Hope A. (Seddon) McGurn.

Sheila's life was dedicated to caring for her children and grandchildren, as well as being a hairdresser, before her retirement.

Besides her husband of 55 years, she is survived by her son, Michael J. Scetta, Jr. and his wife Dawn, a daughter, Sheri Arbige and her husband, Thomas, her brother, William H. McGurn, Jr. (Ret. PPD) and his wife, Eileen, her sisters, Colleen S. Simoneau and her husband Leo, Ann E. Bagian, Maryanne Brown, and her grandchildren, Samantha Scetta, Tyler Scetta, Michael J. Scetta, III, and Jaxon Arbige.  She also leaves behind many loving neices and nephews.  Sheila was predeceased by her brothers, John "Jack" McGurn and Donald McGurn.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, from 4 – 7 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.  Burial will be private.
