She was the beloved wife of John R. Arena, Sr. and loving mother of John R. Arena, Jr. and his wife Michelle and adored grandmother of Antonio Arena. She was the sister of the late Loretta Maguire, Anthony Giacobbi and Salvatore Giacobbi.
Shirley was a communicant of Saint Edward’s Church and led the rosary on Sunday mornings. She also volunteered at the Saint Edward’s Food and Wellness Center and the Saint Edward’s Kitchen Ministry. Shirley most especially loved spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, February 6th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in Saint Edward’s Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
