Sin Chay

With heavy hearts, we—the children, sons- and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and relatives—share the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and family member, Mr. Sin Chay. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026. He was 94 years old and was born on January 1, 1932.

During this difficult time, our family is deeply grateful for your kindness, prayers, and expressions of sympathy, which bring us comfort as we mourn his loss.

We warmly invite you, along with your family and friends, to join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Mr. Sin Chay through a traditional Buddhist funeral service.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908.

A Buddhist ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., followed by paying homage to the Triple Gems, receiving the Five Buddhist Precepts, and offering a tribute to the ancestors with meal offerings to the Buddhist Sangha at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m. All services will be held at the Dhammaghosanaram Buddhist Temple, 2870 Plainfield Pike, Cranston, RI 02921.

Funeral services will continue on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home. A cremation ceremony will follow at Swan Point Crematory, 585 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI 02906.
