Warwick: Stephen E. Rekrut, Jr., 75, of Long Street passed away on April, 18, 2014 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of the late Myra E. (Nash) Rekrut.He was born in Providence, the son of the late Stephen E. Rekrut, Sr. and Doris (Bulawka) Rekrut.Stephen served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1978. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Technical Sergeant.He enoyed playing bingo at Foxwoods.He leaves his three daughters, Karen Gutska and her husband Gregory of Sommersville, Ct, Natalie Rekrut and her companion Laura of Sommersville, CT andStephanie Rebello and her husband Jeffrey of West Warwick; his brother Alex Rekrut of Sanger, CA; two grandchilden, Brendan McVay and Devon McVay. He was the brother of the late Myron W. Rekrut. His funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Route 117) Warwick. Burial with military honors, will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
