

Steven A. Fonseca Sr., age 70, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Debra (McLaughlin) Fonseca, with whom he shared many cherished years.
Born in Providence, Steven was the son of the late Ayres and Dolores (Delsanto) Fonseca. A man known for his generous heart and unwavering loyalty, Steven made it his mission to ensure everyone in his life was cared for as though they were family. His kindness, sense of responsibility, and quiet strength touched countless lives.
Steven leaves behind his beloved children: Steven Fonseca Jr. and his wife Tammy, Tina Beauvais and her husband Roland, and Debra Fonseca. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Deanna Fonseca, Laila Fonseca-Him, Stephanie Horton and her husband Michael, and Kevin Gibbons Jr. and a cherished great grandfather to Ozzy and Syrus.
He is also survived by his siblings: Edward Fonseca and his wife Rose, Richard Fonseca and his wife Carol, and Deborah Autiello; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember his warmth and generosity. Additionally, Steven is survived by his longtime companion, AnneMarie Parrillo, who shared many meaningful years by his side.
Steven was predeceased by his siblings Ronald Fonseca, Sharon Nolli, and Sandra Jones, and now rests peacefully with them.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
