

Born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Steven was the son of the late Earl (Chet) Murray and Shirley (Guillette) Snee.
Steven was a bus driver employed by RIPTA for 25 years before his retirement. He was the past Vice President of the Amalgamated Transit Union #618. Steven proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the US Army’s, 1st Calvary Division.
Steven strived to live a simple, uncomplicated life. He experienced his greatest joy spending time with family at his log cabin, deep in the woods of Maine. Steven loved to hunt and participate in black powder shooting events. He took great pride in his beautiful vegetable gardens.
Besides his loving wife and best friend of 35 years, Georgann; he is survived by his daughter, Stacy Williams and her husband, Michael, his son, Timothy Murray, his stepdaughters, Karen Etchells, and her husband, David, Keri Ferra and her husband Michael, his sister, Elizabeth Ulricksen, and her husband, Neil, his brother, John Murray, his grandchildren, Madeline and Tyler Murray, Dylan and Grayson Williams, Ryan, Sean, and Kayla Martin, Katelyn Norman, and his great-grandchildren, Geoffrey Martin, Carter Barrows, and Kinsley Grillo.
Steven was the grandfather of the late Geoffrey Martin.
Visitation Saturday morning from 8:30 – 10:00 am at the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick, followed by committal prayers and military honors at the Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Kindly omit flowers.
