Thomas was born in Providence on November 16, 1949 to the late Thomas and Ida (DiRobbio) Castrignano. He graduated from North Providence High School and continued on to become a Military Policeman and Sergeant in the Rhode Island Army National Guard.
He worked as a General Manager for Modern Swimming Pool Supply Co., Inc. for most of his career. In later years, he also was logistics manager and truck driver for Accu Care Supply Inc.
He loved driving, whether it was in big rigs for work, or in his own car. He was proud of his military service and had a deep love of his country. His numerous trips driving the truck for work took him to many corners of the country he loved so much. He was incredibly generous, smart, and readily imparted his intelligence and wisdom to anyone who asked. He was also a devout Catholic who greatly
cherished his faith. An avid New England Patriots fan, he thoroughly enjoyed watching his favorite team play, and always cheered for them no matter what their record was.
Thomas is survived by his beloved son, Thomas Castrignano and his wife Laura, his beloved daughter, Christa Castrignano, his beloved granddaughter, Hayden Castrignano, a beloved grandson who is on the way, his beloved significant other, Donna Ragucci-Terchiak, his beloved sister, Jenny Tufano and her husband Tom,
his beloved friend, David Terchiak, a niece and nephew, and countless other friends and family who were blessed to have known him.
There will be a Mass of Catholic Burial on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you consider making a memorial donation in Thomas’ honor to the Gary Sinise Foundation: https://donate.garysinisefoundation.org/campaign/721315/donate
