Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Herbert (Chic) and Mary (Lyons) Chancey and the brother of Patricia (Pensacola), Pamela, Chic and his wife Val-Ann (Ft. Lauderdale),Richard,Mari,and the late James Chancey.
A loving father, he leaves behind two children;Charles Richard (Charlie),and Megan Mary, both of North Providence.
Tom loved the outdoors,especially fishing, which he shared with his siblings and friends. Tom will be greatly missed by his family and his close circle of friends that he had since childhood.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 8th at 9:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence. Burial in Saint Ann Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to remember Tom on Tuesday evening, August 7th, from 5-8 pm.
