Thomas J. Luca, Sr., age 75, passed away March 30, 2026. Beloved husband of Carol A. (Venditelli) Luca, son of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Marsden) Luca, devoted father of, Dawn M. Bucci and her husband Anthony, Thomas J. Luca Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and Joseph F. Luca and his wife Christine, brother of John M. Luca, Helen M. Warburton, Stephen J. Luca, the late Margaret “Peggy” Criscione, and the late Joseph F. Luca. He also leaves 5 cherished grandchildren.
Tom leaves a legacy of quiet joy, curiosity, and connection. He was a loving husband to Carol, his wife of nearly 56 years, and a caring father to his three children, Dawn, Tom Jr., and Joe. But he took immense pride in being a grandfather. Nothing in the world meant more to him than his five amazing grandchildren: Alexandra, Gianna, Avery, Liam, and Olivia. Through shared laughter, small moments, and simply being present, he created memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. His sense of humor was a constant thread, and he was known as a jokester who could bring a smile or an eye-roll to just about anyone.
He had a natural curiosity about how things worked, reflected in his love for gadgets and his knack for fixing things. He found satisfaction in small projects on his workbench, always tinkering, improving, or bringing something back to life. He also enjoyed the focus and discipline of target shooting with his three close friends. He never passed up the chance to try a new restaurant or enjoy a good meal out. Taken together, these simple but meaningful passions reflect a life lived with interest, humor, and a genuine appreciation for everyday moments.
Visitation will be held Saturday starting at 10am-11am followed by a service at 11am in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence. Burial will follow at St Francis Cemetery Pawtucket.
