Victor is survived by his wife Jeannine of 70 years, son Paul (Carol) Lambert, son Michael (Maureen) Lambert, daughter Vivianne (Thomas) DeSimone, many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and extended family. Victor was a loving father and husband, and a friend to everyone.
He was born in Fall River, MA. He was one of five boys who served his country during World War II. After the War, he relocated to Providence Rhode Island and worked as a chef at the Veterans Hospital. He retired after 38 years of service. He spent his free time in his workshop and was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects. He loved his home and was often puttying around outdoors. He enjoyed watching old movies and working on his collections and family albums. He also was a Boy Scout Leader. Fun for him never was measured by a price tag; but by the time spent with his love ones. Chalk, soda cans and bottle caps were often the center of hours of fun. He was quiet, kind and a trickster. He believed in showing by doing and always was there with a helping hand. We could not have had a better father.
A special thank you to the people at The Veterans Home for their loving care and support during his stay. They treated him as family. They will always be in our hearts and prayers. Lastly, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home for helping us during this difficult time.
There will be a private service for the family only, at the Veterans Chapel in Exeter, on Tuesday May 14, 2019. In memory of our father, if you choose to make a donation, please send it to the Veterans Home in Bristol, 480 Metacom Ave. Bristol, R.I. “Chapel fund or Activity Fund”.
