Virginia Josephine Miller

Miller, Virginia J. (Calibani) age 89, formerly of the Smith Hill section of Providence, passed away on August 24, 2011 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Abad and the late Vernon Miller. Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Grammolini) Calibani. Before retirement, Mrs. Miller was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse with The VA Medical Center in Providence. She was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She was the mother of Edward S. Abad and his wife Jo-Anne of Cumberland, step mother of Jody Wilkins of PA and Deborah Miller of MA, Sister of Joseph Calibani and wife Georgene of TX, Robert Calibani and wife Judy of OK, Vincent Blas and Anne Sabato and husband Robert of Turner Falls, MA. She was the grandmother of Nicholas, Benjamin Wilkins and Brant Miller, loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Everett, Eugene Calibani and Catherine Mullen. Her funeral will be held on WEDNESDAY, August 31, 2011 at 8:45am from The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St., PROVIDENCE, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Cross Church Hartford Ave, Providence. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation TUESDAY from 4 to 7pm.
