Vito Russo, 95, formerly of North Providence passed away September 13, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Donato Russo, Sr., and Maria (Sullo) Russo, and the brother of the late Anthony and Donato Russo, Concetta Cogean, and Katherine Capobianco.
Vito was a loving Godfather and wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews who survive him. Vito cherished his family and always made them a priority in his life. He worked throughout his life in various careers and retired from BB Greenberg, where he worked with fine metals. In his free time, he loved traveling, Italian food, Tanguary martinis, and the company of his many dear friends and family.
He was a dedicated and faithful member of the Catholic Church throughout his life, rarely missing a Mass. In his later years, he was always quick to share a joke or sing a tune to those around him. He will be remembered as a loving and humble man who appreciated the blessings of his life and made kindness to others his greatest priority.
His funeral and burial will be private.
