Johnston: Johnson, Walter J. , 85, of Greenville Ave, died Wednesday at his home. He was the husband of Marion L. (Reynolds) Johnson.Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Charles and Julia (Petit) Johnson.Walter worked in the maintenance department at the Johnston Police Department. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran serving with the 4th Marine Division. He served in the South Pacific, Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima.Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Melissa A. Patrone and her husband, Richard E. of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Paul and Charles Johnson and Alice Molinari.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd, Johnston. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted
