

Reardon, William J. Mst Sgt, 71 of Jewett St., passed away at his home on Friday. He was the beloved husband of Marie (O'Rourke) Reardon. Born on August 15, 1935 he was the son of the late Timothy and Tera (Johnson) Reardon. Mr. Reardon served his country with the Air Force for over 25 years, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Wars, earning a Purple Heart medal during WWII. After his retirement from the Government, Mr. Reardon was employed by New Orleans Fire & Safety as an inspector for many years. Mr. Reardon loved to spend time with his family, most of all he had a great love for his precious grandchildren. He always had time to help those in need, his favorite saying was "keep smiling kid." Besides his loving wife of over 48 yrs, he is survived by his children, John J. Reardon of Boston, Patricia Fortune , Alane Reardon , Marie Kolbar and her husband Michael all of Providence, and Helen Reardon of Cranston. Brother of Edward, Paul, Michael, Tootsie, Eleanor, Mary, Barbara and Diane Reardon, all of Boston, Timothy Reardon, Katherine Lent, Eileen Reardon all of AZ, Patrick O'Rourke of Providence and Helen Bergeron of MA. Grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 1. His funeral will be held on WEDNESDAY, at 7 45am rom The RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON Funeral Home 331 Smith St. Providence, followed by A Mass Of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church Smith St. at 9am, Interment with military honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
