Albert Ortiz 87, entered the gates of heaven on August 1, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents, Luciano and Celia Ortiz, sisters Dorothy Rose Marie (infant), Ida Castro and Velma Ortiz. Survived by loving wife Marian Ortiz and four loving sons, Albert (Frances) Ortiz Jr., Ken (Cathy) Ortiz, Glenn Ortiz and Paul Ortiz. Grandchildren, Albert (AJ) and Annette Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Paul (Colby) Ortiz, Myrissa Ortiz and Kenny Ortiz; Great grandchildren Mariah, Isaiah and Abriah. Survived by his sisters and brother, Dorothy Valle, Ernestine Ortiz, John Ortiz and numerous other relatives and friends. Albert was born in Aguilar Colorado on May 18, 1932. He graduated from Aguilar High School in May 1951 and later enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. After basic training he was shipped overseas and stationed in Chateauroux, France and later received honorable discharge in 1956. He served 4 more additional years in the active Air Force reserves. In July he was hired in 1956 at the Pueblo Army Depot and retired in 1987 as a Pershing II missile mechanic. Albert enjoyed reminiscing and spending time with his family and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Albert was a very loving man and will be sadly missed by many. Memorial Celebration service 10:30 am, Tuesday August 13, 2019 at Praise Assembly, 2000 Troy. Family and friends will be received at the Praise Reception hall following service.
