was born on April 14, 1932 in La Junta, CO. She is at peace and united with the love of her
life, Robert I. Mestas who preceded her. She is survived by daughter, Adrienne (Daniel)
Montoya; son, Robert I. (Margaret) Mestas Jr.; grandson Matthew Montoya (Melissa), four
great-grandchildren Alexis, Trevor, Chase, Morgan; granddaughter Danette Montoya and
great-grandson Sebastian Martinez; sister Charmaine Deabueno; brothers John Griego and
Gilbert Griego; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe Griego and William Griego, sisters
Sharon Salazar and Frances Granillo; and numerous friends. Alberta worked at Fort Lyon
Veterans Hospital in Fort Lyon, CO for approx. 30 years. She will be greatly missed. Per her
request, there will be no formal services. Interment will be at Imperial Memorial Gardens in a
