Angelina “Angie” Jimenez, 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at her home in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the wife of Joe C. Jimenez; they shared 67 years of marriage together. Born in Tucumcari, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Sotero and Dometilia Garcia. She attended Tucumcari High School. Even though she worked at several various types of employment, she considered herself a military wife and homemaker.
Angie belonged to Holy Family Catholic Parish. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and working in her yard. She will be remembered for her love of nature, and her generous spirit.
Angie was preceded in passing by her parents Sotero and Dometilia Garcia; her brothers and sisters Senovia (Arturo) Perea, Nick Garcia, Placido (Carlotta) Garcia, Mel (Mary) Garcia, Molly (Chris) Marez, Pime Lucero; and her special niece Regina “Linda” (Benito “Junior”) Rael.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joe C. Jimenez; her son Paul H. (Leslie) Rivera; grandsons Jaylen and Jaren Rivera; brother Dan (Phyllis) Garcia, special niece Maxine Ulibarri, lifelong friend Lina Parras, and numerous other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday April 10, 2024 at 4pm at Imperial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Parish, with entombment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
