Bertha D. Pineda

Bertha D. Pineda, our beloved Mother, has left this life and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 11, 2013. She was affectionately known as “Auntie Bertha” to many. She was born to the union of Andres and Amadea (Sanchez) Leyba in Trinchera, Colorado in 1922. She was one of 16 brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor O. Pineda and daughter, Betty Ann Pineda Montiel. She leaves to cherish her memory in perpetual remembrance her children; Vicky (Larry Chavez) Richardson, Donna (John) Pacheco, Wilma (Joseph) Gonzales, Steve (Susan Gonzalez) Pineda, Magdeline (Marcial) Ortiz; son-in-law, Ruben Montiel; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Dominguez, Della Mutz, Sally Apodaca. Bertha was a loving Mother and Grandmother who taught her family to be strong in their Catholic faith and to be kind and respectful of others. Visitation, 2 -5 pm, Friday, February 15, 2013 at the funeral home followed by the Rosary, 7 pm, at St. Francis Xavier Church. Funeral Mass, 10:30 am, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Church followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
