Carlos L. Chavez, Jr., 82, went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2014. He was born December 16, 1931 in Taos, New Mexico. Preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Fidelia Chavez; sister, Flora Lopez; brother, Salomon Chavez and grandson, Carlitos Chavez. Survived by his wife Tina Chavez; children, Francisco A. Chavez (Sylvia), Pearl Chavez, Phyllis Chavez, Joyce Cardenas (Joe) and Carl (Veronica) Chavez. Also survived by grandchildren; Sasha (Albert), Francisco C. Chavez, James (Geraldine), Anita (John), Jose (Christina), Carl Lee; great-grandchildren; Antonio, Aaralyn, Victor, Aja, Leila, Carlitos, Yzabela, Jaelyn and James D.; brother, Ernest Chavez (Lita); sister, Eleanor Carillo (Frank); brother-in-laws, Don Rodriguez, Augustine Rodriguez, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014 all held at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
