Carolyn Sue Toussaint passed away August 22, 2022. She was born in Macksville, Kansas on December 21, 1939 but lived and raised her family in Pueblo, Colorado. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Claude Toussaint, her children Dan (Liz) Toussaint and Cherie Toussaint of Pueblo, Dave (Michelle) Toussaint of Issaquah, Wash., Colette (Dan) Kester of Kennewick, Wash., and Derek (Emily) Toussaint of Roxborough, Colo.; grandchildren Niki (Jarred West) Toussaint, Tom (Jill) Toussaint, Mallory Kester, Samantha (Andrew) Kester Needham, Triston Toussaint, and Ruby Toussaint; the “greats” grandchildren Ryli West and Rocco, Kamdyn, Macelyn, and Katarina Toussaint; half-sister Shirley Coakley Bornstein and special step-siblings Rich (Carol) Himes and Jeanne (Vince) Robison. She was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa, brother Larry Meek, parents Merl and Thelma Meek and stepmother Emmie Meek, and in-laws Mary and Ludger Toussaint. Carolyn was a devoted housewife, but later enjoyed working at Dee’s Too for her dear friend Sally Mara. She enjoyed spending all of her free time supporting her family at their various sports and activities. She also enjoyed spending her time crafting, painting, gardening, traveling, camping, and playing dominos. Carolyn was greatly loved and treasured by all of her family who will forever cherish her memory. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at Imperial Memorial Gardens at 5450 Highway 78 West and a burial to immediately follow. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at a reception after the burial at the IBEW Local 12 Reception Hall at 2901 Farabaugh. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary-Corwin Hospital Foundation - Cancer Center Patient Needs Fund or the YWCA of Pueblo.
