Dear Marisa, Perrin and Kate - Andrew and I tender our deepest Love to you all. Chris was as wonderful, lovely, special and FUN as anyone we have ever had the absolute honor to know. We have loved the time we were gifted to spend with Chris and you all. The deep, belly laughs were always assured when spending time with Chris. Perrin and Kate - your Father loved, loved, LOVED you girls and would tell us how SMART you both were while you were off playing. Marisa, Chris felt like he won the lottery with you. The only time he ever was at a loss for words would be when he would try to describe his love for you. You were his Soul Mate. This you already know. We loved Chris with all our hearts and we love you all dearly. Perrin and Kate - you are also as special as they come. You will always have our Love surrounding you.

I met Chris through picking up our kindergarteners/1st graders at Skyway Elementary.  Every day we would meet on the playground and wait for our kids to get out of school.  He told me that he was in his wheelchair because of MS.   My husband also has MS, so we had a lot in common.  We quickly became friends.  He was always concerned with how my husband was doing.  Chris was a very sweet and caring guy.  He was such a caring father to his adorable girls!  I will never forget our time together.  I will never forget him riding away on his electric wheelchair, one daughter on his lap, and one daughter on the back as they went home from school.  My condolences and prayers are with you and your beautiful girls, Marissa.  I will never forget Chris and I will miss him very much.  I am happy that he is free from the MS.

Chris was great friends with my older brother Joel Watts from Longfellow on to Wasson and I thought Chris was the funniest, cutest guy ever.  He would show up to our house on Saturday mornings ready to go to work with my brother, singing and happier than anybody else.  He'd then return tired and we'd find him asleep on the couch.  He even picked me up from Junior High a couple of times in his Toyota and made me sit in it like it was a Porche before he would pull out of the parking lot.  Chris was amazing! I'm so glad I got to know Chris and all his laughter and fun and games.  My thoughts and prayers are for his family. In this heartbreaking time I hope you all may find peace and comfort.  The peace of the lord surpasses all understanding.

Chris was in my first drama class at Wasson High School.  He was such a beautiful, kind and dynamic student.  I will never forget how much fun it was to have him play Danny in Grease...the very first musical I had ever directed.  He had so much confidence and was so able to command the stage.  Behind the scenes Chris was a natural leader and a bit of a jokester.  We all loved him.  He was fun and funny loved to play tricks on me.  But I could never stay mad at Chris! He was always so full of heart and wisdom.  I carry Chris in my heart forever as being a loving light for all around him.  My condolences to his family and friends.  Nancy Vogel

Losing a friend is like losing your heart and feeling empty, exactly, a moment too long. From his family, extending to his friends, people were truly blessed to have such a kind soul come into our lives. Chris created an existence where people were drawn to his energy. Thank you for the memories kind sir. Truthfully, thank you!

From the time I met Chris I fell in love with him. He was funny and soooo kind. We had some great times with him camping up by the Peak and going to Buffalo Thunder in Santa Fe. I will miss him very much and wish only the best for his family. Heaven just got one of the best!

I was two years behind Chris at Wasson and when I found out that I could be involved with the production of Grease, I didn't hesitate for a second because it meant I couldn't hang out with Chris.  He knew I had a crush on him, and he indulged me know and then.  And yes, I was witness to one of his moonings!  I never saw Chris again after he graduated, but as soon as I saw his picture....my heart broke when I thought of "Danny."  Chris is 
special  and I am thankful I was able to know him for that year.  To his family, know that there are many people praying for the Lord to strengthen you.

Chris was truly one of the most special people I've had the chance to know.  His love and devotion for those he cared about speaks for itself.  For those of us who we're fortunate enough to receive his love, see his strength over adversity and witness his unwavering desire to not let his challenges impact the lives of those he loved - we can honor Chris by paying it forward.  The world was a better place with Chris here... and his spirit will live on in all those he loved.

I went to Irving Jr High and Wasson Highschool with Chris. Our Senior year of highschool I had the pleasure of being in two plays with Chis. They are some of my most fondest memories of highschool. Chris will always be Danny Zuko to me. He was a special soul. To know him was to love him and my life is forever better from knowing him. To the family, may God give you the strength to endure your sorrows!

I met Chris Through his mother Carmen Speirs 20 years ago. He was always quick with a smile and had an engaging personality. I know he was loved by many and will be missed. I am sad to hear the news. Chris was such a special person. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

The two main things that made Chris special to me were his brilliant and absurd sense of humor (as reflected in so many other comments here), and his love of music, especially singing.  

Chris had one of the most infectious smiles I've ever seen (I'm smiling now just thinking of it), and a divine passion for making people laugh.  I had well defined abs at one point in my life and I attribute them solely to the belly laughs Chris subjected me to.  

Chris's amazing singing voice was also joy to behold. He's the first person I ever harmonized with. I remember it vividly,  practicing in my basement for a song we sang together for the Mr. T-bird contest.  He was singing notes I never knew existed, opening the door from my everyday world of melody to the much more complex and beautiful world of harmony.  Big thanks for that.

I didn't know it at the time but I think that metaphor probably extended into other aspects of his life as well.  He undoubtedly learned about life's complexities earlier than many of us (me for sure), yet his spirit was vibrant and beautiful in spite of that.. or maybe because of it... or maybe both... I don't know.

Much love to all Chris's family.  I can only imagine what a challenging time this is for you.  I hope Chris's memory  can help you find the happiness, joy, laughter, absurdity, harmony, and beauty even in this most difficult time.

Chris was a special person in my life and I am who I am today because of him.  In his short time on this Earth, he touched countless lives, even if he only shared a class at school with them, a shift at Red Robin with them, or a hospital room.  I can honestly say I've never met anyone like him before and I doubt I ever will.

I've known Chris for 25 years and, although there have been times in our lives that we lost contact for a while, we always picked up where we left off when we saw each other again.  His body may have failed him at the end but his mind was as sharp as ever.  Whether it was recalling how he got that scar on his chin or how he convinced our English teachers to allow us to make a video of "The Canterbury Tales" instead of writing a paper (I still want to know how he did that), he always remembered the details of everything.  

His legacy didn't stop on Dec 26; it will live on thru his daughters, his siblings, and thru those of us who loved him and emulated him.  My children may have never known him like I did, but his words and actions reverberate even in them because of what he meant to me.

Chris will always be my brother and Phil, Donna and Chase will always be my second family.  Those who knew him later in life reaped the benefits of those who raised him and I personally attest to their love for him.  I was honored to know him and count him as my best friend.

Marissa and girls, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  I always remember Chris with a smile on his face walking through the halls at school!  He will forever be remember as a warm and funny guy with a huge heart.  May he rest in peace and may the Lord watch over you and your girls.

My family was so sorry to hear of your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy. I was Chris's history teacher and wrestling coach at Washington Irving. Our son, Craig,  was a fellow team-mate and our daughter Sheryl was in many of Chris's classes and sang with him in Madrigals. We all loved him for his wonderful sense of humor and charming personality. Teachers sometimes dread junior high cliques but Chris was the leader of a clique in my class that made that class one of my most memorable.  I can still hear him walking through the door singing one of the lastest songs they were practicing in choir. He and my daughter would wander through the halls of Irving singing "Mama Look Sharp" from the musical 1776. He had such a great attitude and enthusiasm about everything. We still talk about the days when he worked at Red Robin. He would walk around cloaked in the annonimity of his costume and come up and sit on my wife's lap and run his fingers through her hair. What a character! We loved him and will always hold dear our memories of him. God bless each of you as you hold those memories close to your heart.

Chris, you were one of the kindest and dearest people I have ever known. I ran across some old photos last night of you and Brian G. messing around and had the fondest memories of our friendship in high school. My heart goes out to you and your family. God bless.

I am extremely saddend to hear of Chris' passing. We went to Longfellow and Wasson together and I always remember him having a smile on his face and laughing. My condolences are with his wife, children, family, and friends. It's a comfort knowing that you are no longer in pain. You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Chris.

Chris, I have so many great memories with you from Irving and Wasson and after high school as well.  You were always happy, encouraging and a joy to be around.  You were always a great friend and had plenty of room in your life for whomever wanted to be a part of it.  I could tell stories for days about the adventures we had growing up.  I hurts deeply to hear of your passing but I also know that you are not in pain or battling this disease anymore.  I know we talked briefly a few years ago and wish that we would have kept in touch since.  I have thought about you often and hoped we would talk again, but I also feared that I may get this news first.  I remember the day you and Marisa told me what you were diagnosed with, you were adament that you were not going to let it get you down and I never saw you waiver on that.  Please know that even though we lost touch you were often in my thoughts and prayers.  You are a great person and will be missed by all who came in contact with you!!  Love you buddy!!

I went to Irving with Chris and remember him very well.  He was so sincere, compassionate, kind, funny, caring and genuine.  I am so sad to hear of his passing. I am thinking of the hundreds of precious memories I have of Chris today. Memories my husband and I have even shared with our children over the years of the funniest boy we ever knew. I spent years in the joy that was Chris Walker...falling down an entire flight of stairs to make me laugh, spewing an entire cup of pudding out of his nose all over his windshield while we ate lunch, laying his head on my aunt's very pregnant stomach even though he had never met her, and to this day, my mom and I agree we have probably seen Chris' bare bottom more than our own husbands'! I also relish the many deep, personal, serious moments I spent with Chris. The last time we spoke, when he was in the midst of fighting this terrible disease, he spoke about his love for Jesus and faith in what awaits him in Heaven as a fully restored, perfectly healthy man. I know that's what he is enjoying this very minute. Marisa, we would love to get in touch with you in your own timing. I mean that. We are praying for your peace of mind and strength in the coming days and of course, thinking of the girls. What a glorious man you all got to enjoy. Love to you all.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to Chris' family.  I went to Longfellow and Irving with Chris, even though its been years since I last saw him, I'll always remember Chris for that bright smile and his kind, loving spirit which shared with everyone he met.

I used to walk home with Chris when we were kids. (From Longfellow)  I will always remember when he told me about a dog that he lost, ran away.  I looked every day for his dog.  I believe it was a black lab or black dog of some sort?  I may be off....but, I have very good and fond memories of Chris.  I am thankful that I was allowed his memory to grace my life.  May the Lords love comfort his family and loved ones at this difficult time.  I send my love and heart to you all.

Although I only met Mr. Walker once, as a parent at Skyway, he seemed like such a sincere gentleman, a fun person, and a great father.  My condolences to Perrin, Kate, Marisa and their family. Know he will live on in your hearts forever, and be grateful he will not suffer anymore.

Though I met Chris briefly I found him to be a such a charming person.  He had a bit of a jokester in him. I also observed a deep love connection between him and his wife. My heart goes out to Marisa, his children and his family.  "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Christopher, we miss you terribly.  I'm so thankful to know that you are in the Arms of Jesus and that you are completely healthy again with no more suffering.  I will never forget your life with us.  We loved you so much, you made us laugh like no one ever could.  You were the most beautiful little boy and such a handsome young man.  Of course, no one could ever play the part of "Danny" the way you did in your high school production of "Grease".  Oh Chris, how that will forever stick with me. You were always the highlight of our family get togethers.  I know that you are with Jesus laughing again and for that I'm so happy for you.  We are hurting here without you, but you will forever be in our hearts and memories, of course all the pictures we have of you!  I've been so blessed to be your Aunt Conny and we are so thankful for the time we had with you.  Our love to your precious little girls!!!!!!
