Clara Juanita Smith

Clara Juanita Hastings-Pearce-Smith, 89, went to be with our Lord on July 3, 2019. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Gene Pearce of 26 years, and by her second husband, Gordon K. Smith of 25 years. She is also preceded in death by her father Charles Floyd Hastings; mother Ada Lillian Runge-Hastings, and 2 brothers Gene and Lloyd Hastings. Clara is survived by her brother Charles Floyd Hastings of Penrose, CO, sister Lauretta May Hastings-Ayers of Clovis, NM, and 4 daughters: Linda Pearce-Davidson-Kilby of Pueblo, CO, Nancy Jean Pearce-Emond of Glendale, OR, Sandra Kay Pearce-Seifert of Canon City, CO, and Twila Pearce-Gist of Largo, FL. Clara is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jerl Roland) Davidson of Pueblo, CO, Jason (Tonnie) Davidson of Roswell, NM, Jacob (Emily) Davidson of San Diego, CA, William (Beverly) Emond of Portland, OR, Rick (Sadie) Emond of Merlin, OR, Randy Emond of Grants Pass, OR, Tammy (Jesse) Hardin of Glendale, OR, Sarah (Kent) Cooper of Pueblo, CO, Beth (Pierre) Gamache of Canon City, CO, Misti (Jeff Conners) Gist of Pueblo West, CO, Amanda (John) Colletti of Pueblo, CO, and Sonja Gist of Littleton, CO; 19 great grandchildren: Lacee (Kal Baca) Davidson, Jason Davidson II, Erik Davidson, Madison and Isabelle Emond, Rylan and Ryder Emond, Tyler and Evan Emond, Jaylin and James Hardin, Kaitlyn, Abbey and Juliana Cooper, Marley, Lucy and Summer Gamache, Dylan Gist and Giovanni Colletti; 2 great-great grandchildren: Lila and Jax Baca. Clara was born May 4, 1930 in Pueblo and grew up in Lime and in Burnt Mill, graduating from Rye High School in 1948. Clara was a member of Lake Avenue Baptist Church and was an avid homemaker who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and quilting. Viewing will be 9 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019, followed by the Funeral Service at 10 a.m., both to be held at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Imperial Garden Cemetery.
