

L. Dale Kent, 76 of Pueblo, CO left his earthly home on January 30, 2022 surrounded by his family. Dale was born April 23, 1945 in Clayton, New Mexico to Jesse and Rita Kent. He was the fourth child out of five and the only boy. Dale grew up in Rye, Colorado but made his home in Pueblo. Dale retired from the Board of Water Works in Pueblo, CO. Dale was a jack of all trades, he was a mentor, Dad and Papa to many including those not related by blood. He spent many years leading 4-H club working with kids and their horses. He enjoyed many past times including horse riding, roping, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time at his beloved cabin in the San Isabel National Forest. Dale attended Southwest Church of Christ where he was a faithful member for many years. Dale loved spending time with his family especially his kids and grandkids. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his three older sisters, Iona, Joy and Robbie. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Kent of 59 years, his children Dan ( Hazel) Kent and Darla (Jeff) Hewes, his grandchildren Kyler (Taylor) Hewes, Clayton ( Lindsey) Kent, Brady (Amy) Hewes, Colton (Jayde) Kent, Makenna Hewes, Carlton (Sidney) Kent and Kelsie Hewes, and his precious great grandkids, Andrew, Kinsley, Madelynn and Charlotte Hewes, Cash and Cayson Kent. He is also survived by his sister Cheryl (Dan) Hanratty and numerous nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart. The family would like to thank Sangre De Christo hospice, with special thanks to his hospice nurse Vince for the excellent care he provided for Dale during his illness. Services for Dale will be Monday February 7, 2022 1635 S. Pueblo Blvd. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sangre De Christo Hospice or the Mexico Children's home thru the Southwest Church of Christ.
