We are sad to announce that on Tuesday, December 7, 2022 we said goodbye to our incredible, fierce and loving father Daniel Gary Huskin, born July 8, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado to James Carah and Betty Bernice Huskin. Daniel passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was known to many as Danny, DG and “The Duke”. Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Huskin, Ronald Huskin, sister, Diane Kurtz, daughter, Rachiel Denise Roberts, son, Daniel Gary Huskin II and grandson Taylor Michael Roberts.
Danny built his legacy as a businessman and entrepreneur who owned and operated AAA Roofing Company and DG Huskin Construction. He started AAA Roofing Company In 1967. He was a pioneer in the roofing business and traveled the nation chasing hailstorms. He then ventured into the highway construction business in 1985 and received a Quality Construction award for his work on Interstate-25 from Romeroville to Las Vegas, New Mexico. He passed his knowledge to his family and paved the way for them to carry on his work. The foundation of his many accomplishments was his faith in Jehovah, and devotion to his family.
Danny’s charming and energetic character would draw everyone’s attention when he entered a room. He was a gifted storyteller, and always had a listening ear with a bit of well-deserved wisdom. He was described as having a great sense of humor, and a bit of a prankster. His voice is etched in the collective memory of friends and family with his signature line “What’s going on”.
Danny was adventurous, had a passion for horses, enjoyed gambling, and was an avid golfer. He was a family man and always proud of his children who loved him and will miss him dearly. There will never be another person on earth like him.
He leaves to cherish his memory with his children, daughter Carol Rogers, son Alan Huskin, daughters, Natasha Huskin, Whitney Huskin, Brooke Huskin, Jessica Pacheco; seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, loving companion Monica Huskin and many endeared friends who have been so supportive over the years.
Please join the family in a graveside service and interment at one o’clock on December 15, 2022 at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo Colorado 81005.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you celebrate his life, make great memories, hug and kiss the ones you love.
