I was in Wyoming at the Miracle Mile over the weekend, I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the bench and reading the tribute to David! Although I’ve never met this family, this bench brings me comfort, and remembering my grandfather, who took me fishing at the Miracle Mile many many years ago.  What a beautiful tribute to have a bench in David’s  honor.  Thank you for sharing the bench with everyone!! 


There are some people that are in our lives every single day. We are blessed to be able to talk to them and explain to them how we feel. Then there are others that pass in and out as we walk about the Earth. Some we go without even remembering their names, others hold a special place in our hearts. From the time I was little, Pam and Dave where an aunt and uncle to me, although we never shared blood. They were the faces I always hoped would be at the family get-togethers and the laughs and smiles I always enjoyed. I still have the cabbie hat you gave to me when I was a young girl. It was a special gift that I treasured and no one knew. Although I didn't get to see you everyday, I will miss you. And I, like others who enjoyed your smile and laughter, will have an ache in my heart knowing you are gone. As you look down I hope you realize how much you are loved and missed.

I have several fond memories of David. Our great trip with Him and Pam in Cancun. Also when I was having a hard time around Christmas ( missing my late husband), I didn’t want to decorate my house. Next thing I know Pam, David and friends came over and decorated for me.
He will be missed.  

It was so nice to talk to Dave and Delmar's (Martinez) funeral.  It had been awhile since I had seen him. 

I had know Dave even before I knew Delmar.(50 years ago)  He was dating a good friend of mine.  In fact if that hadn't happen, I would have never met Del.  Dave was always such a outgoing, kind, and funny character.  I liked him a lot. 

 It wasn't until I married Del that I got introduced to fishing and then I was granted the privileged of being introduced to the best fishing place around, the Miracle Mile.  That's when I fell in love with fishing.  In fact I miss it a lot.  

In fact when I saw Dave with all  the fish in the picture I knew right away it was him.  But I also thought they are both up in heaven fighting about who caught the biggest fish or the one that got away.   I am so sorry for your lost.  He was one fine Man that I feel privileged to have known.   

Knowing David most of my life was truly a pleasure and honor. And he will be sorely missed Rest In Peace my friend.

I don't think there was ever a time when in public with "Shine", you wouldn't run into people who knew him. I think, at some time in his life, he touched just about everyone in west Denver. Whether through his work, school, or just being out and about, he made friends.

Met David the same day I met Gerald back in 1968.  David has always been an important part of our lives from our wedding day till now.   We will miss his humor and friendship.    Namaste

It has always been a real joy and a true blessing to have him in our lives throughout all these years. We shared some great memories that will never be forgotten. He will continue to be in our hearts forever and he will truly be missed. May God bless you, our good friend.
