Domenic Joseph Veltri

Domenic Joseph Veltri, 69, of Pueblo, CO returned to his heavenly home on July 18, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on May 19, 1948 in Florence, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Eleanor Veltri and sister Mae Veltri. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Veltri; his children, Gabriel and Maria Veltri; sisters Susan Thatcher, Lorraine Veltri, Mary (Dennis) Eaton, Teresa Veltri; niece Jennifer (Jeff) Goode; great-niece Vanessa Goode; great-nephew Nicholas Goode; great-great nephew Naven Goode. Domenic graduated from Florence High School in 1967. Soon after graduating he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1970. While serving in the Army, he became pen pals with his future wife, Linda, whom he married October 9, 1971. Domenic was a devoted husband and father who would do anything for the love of his family. He was quick to help those in need and took special joy feeding and sheltering the random stray cats that showed up at his door. Domenic was a hard-working, loving, gentle soul and was an avid lover of life. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, August 4, at 10:00 am, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
