Doris Walls

Doris Jane Walls (92) of Aurora, CO passed away June 12, 2023. Doris was born in Boone Colorado October 30, 1930. She attended Centennial High School in Pueblo for only a short time before left school to go to work. When she was 19 she married Clinton Leon Walls February 11, 1950 in Raton, NM they were married for 70 years before his death July 29, 2020. Doris worked at the State Hospital in Pueblo, Larned, Kansas and Lincoln, NE. She also worked at Pound Jr. High School in Lincoln before retiring May 25, 1994. Doris and Leon moved from Canon City in 2014 to live with their daughter Patricia in Aurora CO. Doris enjoyed attending church and being with family. Doris is preceded in death by her father Elza O.

Johnson and mother Thelma Johnson also two sisters Wilda Lou Barros and Jewel J. Wolf.

She is survived by two daughters Donna D. Koenig of Centennial, CO and Patricia A. Walls of Aurora, CO. Also two sisters Betty M. Meeks of Eden NC and Wilma L. Fitch (Claiborne) of Kansas City MO, two brothers Eldon E. Johnson and James R. Johnson (Debbie) of Pueblo CO. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for Doris will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Imperial Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
