Dorothy Margaret Carleo

Dorothy is survived by her children Gerald (Sharon), Janis (Walt) Pickard, daughters-in-law Marla Carleo and Paula Carleo; grandchildren Ryan, Derek, Alexandra, Zachary, David, Nicholas (Alicia), Brandon, Courtney, Geoffrey, Grant, Stephany; a large extended family with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis; beloved sons Daniel and Thomas; parents Dominick and Fillippa Rotolo; siblings Phillip Rotole, Vincent Rotolo, Angelina Cash, Josephine DeCarlo, Mary Ann Corsentino, Rose Berta-Rutherford and Theresa Danna; In-laws Jerry and Catherine Carleo.

Dorothy retired from the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1987 after having had the opportunity to see the culmination and operation of the project known as the Frying Pan Arkansas project now referred to as the Pueblo Dam and Reservoir.

Dorothy was a devout member of the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church, an active member of the Council of Catholic Women, Pueblo Serra Club and participated regularly and enjoyed social bridge club activities with a number of her close friends in Pueblo.

Dorothy’s most important priorities were family, parish activities at the Shrine and the Serra Club.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, from 5:00-6:30 PM followed by the Rosary at 7:00 PM at the Shrine of St. Therese, 300 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, Colorado. Her Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, May 4, at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of St. Therese, with Fr. Michael Chrisman as celebrant.
