1934 - 2015
Edgar “Ivan” Magers passed away on December 22, 2015.
He was born to the late Edgar and Myrna (Peters) Magers in Glen Easton, WV on November 6, 1934.
Ivan graduated from Sherrard High School in 1953 and served as a rifleman in the Marines before attending Marshall University, from which he graduated in 1961 with a degree in Business Administration. Ivan pursued many business opportunities, however, a majority of his career was spent as an independent claims adjuster. He enjoyed life, family, friends, woodworking, dancing the jitterbug, and he rarely missed out on having coffee with the breakfast club.
In addition to his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by sisters, Pauline McWhorter and Helen Bennett; and brothers, James Magers and Lorran Magers.
He is survived by his sons, Travis and Troy; granddaughter, Skyla Magers; and youngest brother, John Magers.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 30th at 1:00 pm at Imperial Funeral Home in Pueblo, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
